Yesterday you heard that the people of Okinawa Prefecture, which is actually an integral part of Japan, are discriminated minority, oppressed by Japanese Government and U.S. Military.

昨日皆様は、現に日本の不可分の一部である沖縄県民が、日本政府及び米軍によって抑圧­される少数民族だ、という話をお聞きになったことと存じます。

Nothing could be further from the truth! I was born and raised in Okinawa, as a part of Japan we enjoy the highest standards of human rights, quality of education, welfare, health and living.

これ程事実からかけ離れた事はありません。私は沖縄で生まれ育ちましたが、日本の一部­として私達は最高水準の人権、教育、福祉、衛生及び生活の質を享受しております。

And China, a threat to the security of the region and to Japan, as well as human rights in general, it's promoting an independence movement in Okinawa by having elected officials and their supporters say "we are an indigenous minority".

支那こそ同地域の安全保障及び日本に対する脅威であり、概して人権に対する脅威です。­あの国が沖縄の選挙で選ばれた議員やその支援者に「自分達は先住民族である」と言わせ­て、独立運動を煽動しているのです。

We are not. Please DO NOT believe the propaganda! I brought with me a message from a member of Ishigaki City Council Yoshiyuki Toita, who writes: "Our current governor is irresponsibly ignoring the role of the U. S. bases play in the security of Japan and Asia Pacific Region. He is misrepresenting the situation".

私達は先住民族ではありません。どうかプロパガンダを信じないで下さい。石垣市議会の­砥板芳行（といたよしゆき）氏からのメッセージです。「現知事は無責任にも、日本とア­ジア太平洋地域の安全保障における米軍基地の役割を無視しています。知事は状況を捻じ­曲げて伝えています」

"It is important that he and everyone at U.N. recognize the serious challenges in the East China and South China seas presented by China". Thank you.
